Many people ask me, what does In the De O'Gee (D-O-G) House mean?  The name was adopted back in the late 1990's when I started my company, "De O'gee houses by Carl". Back then it was simple.  I mainly designed and built doghouses that replicated the human counterpart living conditions.  One of the things I often joked with friends, family and customers about, was the amount of time I spent in the doghouse when it came to the wife and kids.  So, I figured if I am going to be constantly in the doghouse, I'd better make my house look good.  Because of the dedicated craftsmanship I displayed in my work, building doghouses evolved into making various other things; tables, dresser, grandfather clocks, beds, tables, and even jewelry boxes. Throughout the years the company name has evolved; as well my crafts, into a broader meaning for various reasons.   This has led me to the name as it is today. Although I believe we are all in the doghouse, I also believe that every crafted item tells a unique story or conveys one's thoughts.  Products on my page showcases an array of handmade products, ensuring that creativity and quality flourishes in every piece.
